Our Mandate

The Francophone Society’s mandate is to promote, represent and defend French language and culture in Greater Victoria. It supports the French-speaking community through local partnerships and through services which respond to the needs of its members.

Our Team

The Francophone Society relies on a permanent staff of three employees who have the French community at heart.

Originally from Victoria, Casey is passionate about community development in French through his many contributions to organiszations such as Francophonie jeunesse de l’Alberta (Alberta Youth Association) and the Canadian Francophone Games. Casey hopes to inspire a new vibe at the Francophone Society through his innovative ideas and abundant creativity.

Camille Delacôte

Executive assistant

As soon as she arrived, Camille decided to get fully involved in the French-speaking community by registering her children in a Conseil Scolaire Francophone school and also by working as an Ambassador of French-speaking culture. Camille is determined to develop access to services and activities for Francophones both inside and outside the community. All this while preserving her French humour and smile.
