The Francophone Society’s mandate is to promote, represent and defend French language and culture in Greater Victoria. It supports the French-speaking community through local partnerships and through services which respond to the needs of its members.
The Francophone Society relies on a permanent staff of three employees who have the French community at heart.
Originally from Victoria, Casey is passionate about community development in French through his many contributions to organiszations such as Francophonie jeunesse de l’Alberta (Alberta Youth Association) and the Canadian Francophone Games. Casey hopes to inspire a new vibe at the Francophone Society through his innovative ideas and abundant creativity.
Catherine is fascinated by all forms of artistic and cultural expression. In order to better uderstand her passion, she pursued a Bachelors of Art in Communication at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Beautiful things grab her attention: original ideas, large projects and unique experiences.
Graduate in Kineseology from the University de Sherbrooke in Québec, Myriam is alwas searching for new challenges, which is what brought her to the Society. Passionate about sports, outdoors and discovery, Victoria was a perfect sport for her. She brings with her a multitude of experiences from the Canada Games in Red Deer and the Canadian Francophone Games. She looks forward to organizing many fun-filled activities for everyone.
