Matt Stern
A bilingual multidisciplinary artist committed to equity and inclusion, he blends languages and art forms to foster connection and raise awareness. His soulful folk music, infused with sensuality and gentleness, offers powerful imagery and lyrics that challenge how we see the world. Somewhere between the raw emotion of Tracy Chapman, the boldness of Patty Griffin, and the activism of Bob Marley, he explores songwriting with authenticity, tenderness, and curiosity.
Born in Montreal and now based on Vancouver Island, he has performed at the Campbell Bay Music Festival, the Victoria Francophone Festival, POP Montreal, Canadian Music Week, the Enoshima Festival (Japan), Coup de cœur francophone, the Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival, and M pour Musique (France), among others.
Honey Dewme and company
Parent of 2.68 children. Dutch by stealth. Editor and committed observer of Vague Magazine. Honey Dewme – as queer, juicy and summery as a watermelon in heels – based in Victoria, BC.
Sara Rose
Sara Rose (they/them) is a queer, neurodiverse songwriter born in the bilingual community of Timmins, Ontario. Active since 2011, they have released three albums online. After discovering the Société francophone de Victoria in 2022, they reconnected with their Francophone roots, which inspired a new wave of songwriting. Following their residency at Chant’Ouest (2025), they are preparing their first Francophone album, set to release in spring 2025, recorded on Lekwungen territory where they currently reside. The album explores themes of nature, spirituality, and community care. On stage, Sara Rose captivates with the clarity of their voice, rhythmic guitar playing, and a presence that invites audiences on an unforgettable emotional journey.
