BIOGRAPHY

Les Hay Babies are first and foremost friends: fun comes before work, and work is done in the spirit of fun. Hailing from New Brunswick, Julie Aubé, Katrine Noël, and Vivianne Roy have been advancing their sparkling, multifaceted folk-rock for over a decade, reinventing their musical approach with each release. Discovered through their indie-folk/country EP Folio in 2012, they returned two years later with Mon homesick heart, a debut album with contemporary folk-rock sounds. La 4ième dimension (long version) followed in 2016, blending ’60s/’70s rock and ’80s ballads, and in 2020 came Boîte aux lettres, infused with ’70s pop and disco vibes. A fourth album, inspired by the roots-rock of Louisiana jukeboxes, is set for 2024. Constant shifts in style are a hallmark of the group, reflecting both their boundless energy and their ongoing passion for reimagining past sounds.
