AHFV Evening: Towards A Decolonization Of Archives

November 21 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Join us for an evening of discovery and dialogue at the launch of the project “Francophone and Indigenous, a story to recount”, organized by the Francophone Historical Association of Victoria. This key initiative will unveil the book Francophone and Indigenous, a Story to Recount, that examines Victoria’s francophone history under the lens of reconciliation.

This project enriches our collective understanding thanks to testimonies from members of the Indigenous community of British Columbia and includes videos and an accompanying guide. You may discover as well the new, enriching web page dedicated to this topic, offering videos and discussion spaces.

Evening Program :

  • Reception: An early evening with a cash bar, open to meetings and exchanges.
  • Presentation: Book and website exploration, revealing stories and resources.
  • Discussion: A moment of exchange on future projects and opportunities for participation, opening enriching perspectives on our shared history.
The event is free, but please reserve your place by registering via the link below to confirm your participation.
