Come discover the incredible talents of Francophone youth at Plaza Franco! The SFV is creating a welcoming and supportive space where young people can showcase their talents at Ship Point, right in the heart of downtown Victoria. Music, singing, poetry, comedy… come cheer on our young Francophone community!
6:15 – 8:00 p.m. – MIGUELITO VALDES TRIO
Described as one of the most acclaimed Cuban trumpeters of his generation, Miguelito Valdes has performed with many of Cuba’s leading artists and contributed to several award-winning recordings. Since moving to Victoria, he has become an active member of the local music scene and has collaborated with the SFV on numerous occasions. The trio—Miguelito Valdes on trumpet, Cynthia Rodriguez on piano, and Hector Ramos on congas—will have audiences moving to the captivating rhythms of Cuban music.
