DESCRIPTION:French songs and folk jazz  –  A soft\, groovy Thursday to start the summer: \n\nMusical Programming\n\n 	5 PM – La Vie Ensemble\n 	6 to 8 PM – Mimosa\n\n✨ A warm and friendly atmosphere with jazz accents flavored with local and Francophone influences.  \n\nPLAZA FRANCO \nPlaza Franco is the musical meetup of the summer\, every Thursday evening from June 26th to August 14th\, live from Ship Point!\n🎶 Each week brings a new vibe: A different musical style\, a unique theme\, artists from near and far… and an atmosphere that’s 100% festive.\n💃 It’s free\, it’s outdoors\, and it’s open to everyone. \n\n\n\nLa Vie Ensemble \nTwo guitars\, two voices\, two languages: La Vie Ensemble is the soulful duo of David Temple and Hélène Nicole Richard. Their eclectic style and heartfelt lyrics create a unique sound that resonates deeply with audiences. \nHaving met in January 2024 in Ocala (Florida)\, they quickly formed their duo\, and began touring across the U.S. and Canada. Married in June\, they recorded their first EP shortly afterward. For them\, their life journeys naturally led them to one another. \nWebsite \n\n\n\n\nMimosa \nA bilingual quintet from Vancouver\, Mimosa blends jazz\, Brazilian samba\, French chanson\, and cabaret to create a sound that is both refined and delightfully eccentric. With four acclaimed albums and tours across Canada—including performances at the Vancouver and Montreal jazz festivals—they have become CBC favorites\, featured in two documentaries\, including Le bonheur\, chanté par Mimosa.
