DESCRIPTION:In honour of the 30th anniversary of National Indigenous Peoples Day\, the Victoria Francophone Society is very happy to welcome Mike Paul Kuekuatsheu\, a Francophone Innu artist from Quebec\, and Zoe Lheritier\, a young Francophone author from the Plains Cree Nation. \n✨ Free admission \n🥤 Licensed bar ($) \nProgram \n
3 p.m – 4 p.m: Meet Zoe Lheritier\, writer of the book Le chant de nos ancêtres. Zoe Anne-Marie Lheritier is a French and Nêhiyaw author from Treaty 4 First Nation in Saskatchewan. Her writing is rooted in a journey of cultural reconnection and reflection on identity and resilience. Committed to raising awareness of Indigenous realities in intercultural dialogue\, her words carry a voice that is both intimate and engaged. Through her work\, Zoe explores the strength of the spirit\, ancestral heritage\, and the power of cultural transmission.\n\n4:30 p.m: Welcome ceremony and artistic performance by the local community  \n5:00 p.m – 7 p.m: Concert by Mike Paul Kuekuatsheu  \nMany thanks to the VIF Program of Réseau Dialogue for their support.
